Professionalism sessions will help you obtain the professional qualities that employers look for in potential employees. You will develop a professional resume, learn job search and interview skills, gain knowledge about professional attire, behavior, and communication. Job developers assist you with career exploration and placement.

MVPE Project

Obtain vocational skills training for middle to higher paying careers in the Advanced Manufacturing and Health Care Industries.
Current training programs include:

  • Welding
  • Machining
  • State Tested Nurse’s Aid
  • Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Registered Nurse

Education Opportunities

  • If post-secondary education is your goal, we can assist you with researching and placement in the right program or explore the bridge programs we have available to develop your credentials even further.
  • Need your GED in order to further your training?  Our GED classes and online study program will help you obtain the knowledge you need to pass the GED Exam.

Vocational Training

Complete Your Training at our Professional Development Center

If you are interested in beginning a career in the health care industry, our STNA (State Tested Nurses Aide) certification equips you with the skills for a good entry level position in the field. Funding for the training is available through scholarships and the Mahoning Valley Partnership for Employment grant program. Visit our Professional Development Center page for details on how this certification can serve as a bridge to local LPN and RN programs.
